After Rentt, the undead adventurer, passes his Bronze-class ascension exam for the second time, Sheila becomes suspicious and uncovers his true identity. Despite playing dumb, her sincerity convinces him to tell her everything. Now a Bronze-class adventurer again, Rentt takes a special job from an orphanage for a single bronze coin. But before he can fulfill the dangerous and difficult request, he somehow gains a vampiric servant of the rodent kind. In the fourth volume of this adventure fantasy, can Rentt survive his journey into the poisonous and treacherous Tarasque Swamp?!

Rentt, the undead adventurer, manages to survive the poisonous Tarasque Swamp and retrieve the Dragon Blood Blossom for the orphan Alize. Just as he’s about to return, a mysterious stranger approaches him and offers him a job on the behalf of his mistress. Rentt accepts the request, and at the behest of Sheila and the adventurer's guild, he agrees to meet with the elusive head of the Latuule family. However, there’s more to this family than meets the eye. Will Rentt get more than he bargained for with one of the oldest and most influential families in Maalt?

After taking a request from the Latuules, a highly influential family in Maalt, Rentt visits their estate. But to enter it, he must find his way through their hedge maze. On the other side, he meets with the head of the family, a seemingly young girl named Laura Latuule. She explains her request, then shows Rentt her family's prized magic item collection. While Rentt is checking it out, a golem is suddenly activated and a fight begins. Rentt, the undead adventurer, takes a request from the Latuules, a highly influential yet mysterious family in Maalt. After finally finding his way through their giant hedge maze, he meets with the head of the family, a young girl named Laura Latuule. Laura explains her request, and as thanks for accepting it, she shows Rentt her family's prized magic item collection. Rentt is fascinated by the sheer number and variety of items...until he accidentally activates a magic golem and a fight begins!

Thanks to Laura Latuule, Rentt achieves a new form of evolution and is reborn as a vampire. He returns to Maalt’s Second Orphanage to check on Sister Lillian’s health and to ask if Lorraine and he could take Alize on as an apprentice. However, little does he know that, at the same time, two new people are approaching Maalt. One is a saint of the Church of Lobelia, and the other is...a vampire hunter?! Together, they just may spell the end of Rentt’s undead life!

When Rentt, the undead adventurer, last saw vampire hunter Nive Maris, she warned him that vampires would soon attack the city of Maalt. Rentt begins to prepare for that possibility by collaborating with the adventurer’s guild, but Lorraine suggests he find the source of his divinity first in order to strengthen his abilities. They decide to visit Rentt’s hometown of Hathara to find that source, but before that, Rentt has to gather materials for Alize’s new wand. He goes to the New Moon Dungeon to do so and reaches a mine on the fourth floor. However, once there he encounters something unexpected and legendary—an earth dragon! The undead Adventurer returns home, but trouble blocks his path! Rentt finally sets out for his home village of Hathara with Lorraine. On the way, the pair encounter a horde of zombies and meet Hilde, the Gold-class adventurer tasked with destroying the undead. Hilde, an accomplished mystic, sees that Rentt has divinity and offers to teach him to better conceal it. He accepts, and in the process, feels the presence of a soul that has been watching over him throughout his career. Once they finally reach Hathara, Rentt is reunited with his family and old friends. The village celebrates his return by throwing a banquet, but Rentt seems conflicted about the exaggerated welcome and disappears in the middle of the festivities. Lorraine leaves to look for him and finds him in a very unexpected place...

Rentt and Lorraine’s search for the roots of his divinity have brought them to Rentt’s childhood home of Hathara, but the nostalgic surroundings evoke memories of his past.
