We are currently taking applications for the following position(s) to start on guaranteed projects as soon as possible:

Managing Editor / Sr. Managing Editor: Full-Time / Remote

Responsibilities:

• Manage editors and quality checkers to edit company publications accurately and punctually for the light novels and manga we publish
• Manage the quality assurance process to ensure that final product to the consumer is kept at a consistent quality level
• Implement best practices, workflows, and templates to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the publishing process
• Monitor and control schedules, budget, and resources to meet a deadline and target
• Follow up with and teach editors and quality checkers about editing processes, requirements, and timelines
• Conduct publication review and provide feedback to editors, quality checkers, and reviewers on quality
• Work closely with Quality Assurance Manager, manage and handle translators’ and editors’ complaints, and solve their problems
• Continuously evaluate publications/projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines
• Develop, create, and maintain company-wide style guide, consulting with Managing Translator
• Collaborate with other teams, vendors, and contactors to build a win-win relationship
• Communicate and motivate team members while evaluating their job performance
• Constantly recruit and train editors and quality checkers, screen applicants, conduct skill tests and Interviews
• This position has in-house supervisory responsibilities
