What is J-Novel Club?
Your #1 Source for Light Novels and Manga!
J-Novel Club is a publisher of light novels and manga, founded and staffed by fans like you! We work hard to bring some of the most exciting series from Japan’s top publishers to English-language audiences everywhere. Our localization teams are top notch, and we're licensing new series all the time!
What Does It Cost?
Making a J-Novel Club account is always free! Once you have a JNC account, you're ready to start purchasing or renting volumes and building your own ebook collection. You can also read Part 1 of any completed volume to try out new series!
All transactions on the JNC website are made using Coins, with a simple exchange rate: $1 gets you 100 coins. Most of our digital light novels cost 799 Coins (or $7.99) per volume, while most manga cost 899 Coins (or $8.99) per volume. Coins can be purchased through your User page.
Subscribing offers even more perks, including an extensive library of titles you can read anytime, early access to new chapters, site-wide discounts, and more! See below for details.

Give Me All the Ebooks!
You can buy our ebooks on BookWalker, Amazon, Nook, Google Play, Apple Books, Kobo, and more! However, the bonus content often found in our volumes is exclusively available to those who buy directly from the J-Novel Club website.
Anyone can buy J-Novel Coins to redeem for ebooks! On our site, most light novel volumes cost 799 coins (or $7.99), while most manga volumes cost 899 coins (or $8.99). Coins never expire and can be redeemed even without an active subscription!
You can also rent a light novel part or manga chapter if you're not sure about purchasing the full volume. Parts become available to rent once the full volume has been released, after Prepub streaming has ended.
J-Novel Club ebooks are DRM-free, meaning they can be read on any EPUB device, and once downloaded, you'll never lose access! Buying or preordering an ebook also lets you read all currently translated parts on our website and app, even if you're no longer a subscriber!
It’s Not Mine If It’s Not in Print!
We’ve got you covered!
As of 2018, we’ve been printing a selection of our manga and light novels as well! You can get them from Crunchyroll, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Bookshop.org, Kinokuniya, Powell’s, or your local bookseller of choice. If a book’s not on the shelf, just ask! They’ll be happy to order it for you.
For our non-US readers, check with your local book seller — all our books have international distribution and are available via special order if not stocked by default.
Let’s Get to Reading!
We hope that you enjoy browsing our library of titles and look forward to seeing you around! Happy Reading! 📘
