The hero Alexander and his comrades unleash a daring raid on the Demon King’s castle, intent on assassinating him and bringing an end to the war against the darkness in one fell swoop. But death is not the end of the road for Alexander, as he is reincarnated two years later as that very same Demon King’s son. The hero Alexander and his comrades unleash a daring raid on the Demon King’s castle, intent on assassinating him and bringing an end to the war against the darkness in one fell swoop. However, the raid goes awry when his party is effortlessly decimated by the Demon King’s overwhelming power. But death is not the end of the road for Alexander, as he is reincarnated two years later as that very same Demon King’s son. With the memories of his past life still intact, he vows to use his miraculous second chance to continue fighting—this time destroying the demonic kingdom from within as the Demon Prince Zilbagias. It doesn’t take long for his mettle to be tested either, as passing as a young demon prince without blowing his cover proves to be quite a bit more challenging than he initially anticipated.

In five short years, Zilbagias has made vast strides in the demonic kingdom. Between his miraculous transformation after visiting the Abyss and his formed contract with the Devil God of Taboo, his acquisition of a high elf pet which gave him access to healing miracles unprecedented among the denizens of the dark, and his remarkable displays of combat prowess, he quickly sets himself apart as a prodigy among the demons. While his unnatural talents have made it difficult to keep his disguise intact, with active duty close at hand, his cover—and his resolve—will soon be tested in brand-new, terrible ways. Luckily, his first excursion is just to clear out a band of goblin deserters. Should be simple enough, right?

Zilbagias has managed to just barely avoid his identity being revealed by Faravgi’s departed soul. For better or for worse, this has meant revealing his plans to Layla and, in turn, bolstering his relationship with her. At the same time, he has begun making inroads with the lich Enma, her undead being another lynchpin in the demonic kingdom Zilbagias plans to exploit. But, as always, things can only look up for so long before the looming reality crashes down around him—this time in the form of his deployment to the front lines. With the plans all but set in stone, Zilbagias is sent to the Rage family territory to make preparations for his first personal assault on the Panhuman Alliance.

With his training in the Rage family territory complete, Zilbagias returns to the castle to begin his preparations for his deployment to the front lines come spring. And now that he has secured permission to fly with Layla—despite the reluctance of those around him—the possibilities seem endless. But life quickly becomes a dangerous balancing act, as he must fight to secure a strong position within the demonic kingdom while trying to undermine it. He makes great strides weaving alliances with powerful actors throughout the castle that he inevitably aims to betray, but they seem to be keeping their cards close to their chests.

Zilbagias has arrived at the front lines of the war against the Panhuman Alliance. The attack on Evaloti, the capital city of Deftelos and a crucial stronghold for the Alliance, begins in earnest. And though seemingly every possible advantage favors the denizens of the dark, humanity will not go down without a fight. Heroes, Swordmasters, and elite forest elf mages from across the Alliance have banded together to man the lines—ensuring that every inch the demons take is paid for in blood. This of course puts Zilbagias in a convenient position as each demon slain makes his job easier, and each human he kills bolsters his own power further...even if it comes at the cost of both his heart and mind.

Upon returning victorious from the campaign in Evaloti, Zilbagias successfully manages to hijack the Demon King’s plan to turn the prisoners of war into a serving class to solve the denizens of the dark’s food conundrum. After securing the humans citizenship rights within the demonic kingdom, he is appointed as governor of the Evaloti Temporary Autonomous Zone, where he quickly finds himself in a perilous balancing act. Though there are those with sinister intentions in the kingdom, he must protect the humans at all costs. Even with the humans not having trust in him, Zilbagias seeks out avenues to buy them both time and resources to assemble a meaningful resistance without tipping off the demons of his involvement. All the while, he must navigate even more treacherous waters as a new fashion style takes the Demon King’s castle by storm...
