It is now July, and twenty-five year old bachelor Shohei Sano has adapted to life in the mountains. (Well, kind of.) It’s not quite the reclusive existence he’d hoped for, but his new daily routine keeps him busy and offers a much-needed respite from the woes he ran away from. Plus, his chickens—Pochi, Tama, and Yuma—are just so adorable! As the summer gets into full swing, Shohei and his giant talking chickens are tasked with a new challenge: dealing with illegal dumping! Thankfully, the villagers are eager to help, especially if it means being able to work alongside the village’s newfound feathery heroes. And that’s not all—from organizing festivals to attending BBQs to dealing with uninvited visitors, Shohei’s summer season will be jam-packed with adventure!

It’s been six months since Shohei Sano began living in the mountains with his three chickens. (They are actually chickens, right? They just keep growing...) The scorching summer has faded into a cool, crisp autumn, and the mountainside’s harvest is abundant: wild vegetables, chestnuts, and persimmons... Delicious! But with the new season brings new obstacles, like weatherproofing for a typhoon, facing trouble with wild boars, and dealing with the return of the killer hornets! When these insidious insects begin buzzing around Loud Mountain, Katsuragi calls for Shohei and Aikawa to help her exterminate them—by using their pets as bodyguards, of course. What happens when a dragon, three raptor-like chickens, and a lamia attack a nest of killer hornets? Kaiju fight?! Not quite! Can the intrepid mountain trio and their fearsome pets emerge victorious against the hornet menace?

With autumn leaves falling and snowfall just around the corner, Shohei Sano prepares for his first winter in the mountains. Among his chief concerns is preserving and storing enough food for his household, but the local hunters and his trusty chicken pals have a plan: They’re going boar hunting! After all, wild boar hot pot is a perfect cold-weather food! Before the snow hits, Sano visits the highest point on his property and discovers a small dilapidated shrine. When he finds out that it’s dedicated to the god of his mountain, he decides to rebuild it to thank the god for watching over his home and community. Then Sano meets an energetic newcomer to the village who ends up being...Katsuragi-san’s sister?! What’s she doing in the mountains? Though the days are growing colder, winter life for Sano and his chickens is just starting to heat up!
