The Fearsome Witch Teaches in Another World

After her death on Earth, teacher Aoi Konominato awakens as a child in an unfamiliar world, filled with regret about her lackluster life and unfinished goals. An elven sage named Owain takes her in, mentors her, and instructs her in the art of sorcery. Twelve years later, Aoi has mastered everything he’s thrown at her, and Owain deems her ready to further her studies of sorcery by becoming an instructor at the illustrious Fiddich Academy, the finest sorcery school in the world. Though she’s hesitant at first, Aoi sees this as a second chance to become her ideal vision of a teacher, albeit in a fantasy world. However, this magical school is brimming with problems—and misbehaving students. The children of nobles and royalty are used to doing whatever they want, but soon they’ll learn to pay attention in this fearsome witch’s class!

Aoi’s class is finally getting the recognition it deserves, and the fearsome witch of Fiddich Academy anticipates a flood of new students. However, only a few show up, and according to other instructors, class attendance is plunging across the board, and students are sneaking away for some unknown purpose. Aoi investigates the problem only to uncover a web of exploitation by the city’s seedy underworld. Fixing the school is one thing, but can Aoi clean up an entire city and bring hardened criminal organizations to their knees? And perhaps just as importantly, will the arrogant Prince Rox finally turn over a new leaf and become a model student? One thing’s for sure: Aoi is set on meting out discipline to anyone who would get in the way of a peaceful school life.

As her trip to the Holy Maple Leaf Empire wraps up, Aoi has gained the trust of some of the most powerful sorcerers in the country, and she’s put in place the first domino that could eventually lead to the advancement of sorcery worldwide. However, she has a few loose ends to tie up in the empire before she can return to Fiddich Academy, including some surprising revelations related to Shenley’s family. Aoi has her students’ backs every step of the way, whether that involves proving their worth to their parents or showing their capabilities during Fiddich’s upcoming cultural festival—which absentminded headmaster Glen conveniently forgot about before he sent Aoi away. It’s time for Aoi’s class to shine and let the whole world know that change is coming.

It’s the third and final day of the cultural festival at Fiddich Academy, and everyone is excited for Aoi’s presentation, but for some reason nobody seems interested in seeing her students’ lightning sorcery demonstration. Knowing how hard they’ve worked, Aoi will need to act fast to prevent their hard work from going to waste. However, another problem awaits Aoi even after the cultural festival. There’s a student who has become a shut-in, and it’s Headmaster Glen’s own grandson. Aoi’s faced down haughty nobles, unruly royals, and powerful dragons, but this could be her greatest challenge yet!

After her initial visit to Aqua Vitae, Aoi promises to return to finish what she started. Now she has a meeting with one of the most important people in the elven country, who happens to also be the father of Solare’s former bully. Aoi aims to change his mind—and the minds of all his fellow elves—about elven superiority, but it’s going to be an uphill battle. As backup, she’s brought Glen, Elisa, Strath, and Shenley, but they’re facing off against the self-proclaimed best sorcerers in the world. New heights, new challenges and an old face await Aoi in Aqua Vitae. It will be up to her how she navigates everything in her pursuit of advancing the standard of sorcery education across the world!

After returning to Fiddich from the elven kingdom of Aqua Vitae, Aoi throws herself back into her classes and research. For a little bit, everything seems to be business as usual, and she’s able to make some progress learning healing and spirit sorcery. Unbeknownst to her, though, her success in Aqua Vitae has made her an enticing marriage prospect for every noble household, resulting in a huge influx of male students to Fiddich. They have little chance of wooing Aoi, whose mind is completely focused on her research and her students. However, the bigger problem is how elitist these new nobles are. The situation comes to a boil when the prince of Karvun ends up in a scuffle with several Fiddich instructors, causing Aoi to step in and neutralize the situation. Seeing no remorse from the prince, Aoi decides it’s time for a parent-teacher conference with his father, the king. Aoi has spoken with many royals before, but will this be the day she meets her match?
