Ordinary student Sora has been summoned to another world as one of seven “chosen heroes” meant to battle the Demon King. While the other six are blessed with grandiose titles and superlative stats, Sora is stuck with no title, no level, and a single, underwhelming skill: he never gets tired from walking. After being judged useless to the cause, Sora is thrown out into the streets and left to fend for himself. Nevertheless, he grows determined to turn his unjust treatment and seemingly “useless” skill into a positive by earning money, making friends, and seeing sights he’s never seen before!

After being judged useless to the cause, Sora is thrown out into the streets and left to fend for himself. Nevertheless, he grows determined to turn his unjust treatment and seemingly “useless” skill into a positive by earning money, making friends, and seeing sights he’s never seen before!

After faking his death in the Kingdom of Elesia, Sora moves on to the Holy Kingdom of Frieren, where he dons a mask and restyles himself as a merchant to continue his under-the-radar tour of the new world he’s found himself in. Unfortunately, things are never that easy—an orc massacre of a small village and a dastardly plot in the holy city of Messa force Sora to use his wits to prevent disaster without actually showing his hand. The addition of a colorful group of female adventurers and a headstrong holy woman on the run make things even more of a pain. All the while, Sora’s looking for leads towards Chris and Rurika’s missing friends, and he might just find one in Messa!

With new companions picked up in the Holy Kingdom, Sora and his party continue on to the Magic Nation of Eva, where they hope to meet up with Chris and Rurika. The city of Majorica is host to both the Magius Academy of Magic and a dungeon—a mysterious labyrinth of unknown depth from which monsters and treasures spawn. The team spends a lot of time getting to know their new city—touring the academy, learning the plight of local orphans Elza and Art, and trying out dives into the dungeon—but a mysterious girl in a library hints at an imminent threat hanging over the town. Will Sora and his friends have to rise to the occasion again?

At the behest of the mysterious librarian Seris, Sora and his party are going all in on conquering Majorica’s dungeon. With the help of the newly arrived Chris and Rurika—as well as another group of old friends who happen into town—they make steady progress through an increasingly difficult series of labyrinthine floors punctuated by verdant grasslands, rocky ravines, and a forest lake swarming with undead hordes. But as the party comes closer to their goal, a new intrigue begins to take shape behind the scenes. Dark forces are plotting things in the dungeon’s depths, and their target is...Layla?! Sora will have to race against time, not just to prevent a monster parade but to save his old friend too!

With their time in Majorica at an end, Sora’s party continues their quest to find the missing elf Eris. Their next stop is the Lufre Dragonlands, an isolated nation across the mountains. Their journey won’t be simple, though—as they prepare to cross the treacherous mountain peak on foot, they begin to see the first signs of a strange curse affecting the land and its creatures. Later, they must earn entry into the isolated capital city of Altair by vanquishing a group of bandits who have eluded even the realm’s most elite knight corps. The threat they encounter on the way could endanger the life of Sora’s loyal spirit companion, Ciel!
