In the year 2043, Infinite Dendrogram, the world's first successful full-dive VRMMO was released. In addition to its ability to perfectly simulate the five senses, along with its many other amazing features, the game promised to offer players a world full of infinite possibilities. Nearly two years later, soon-to-be college freshman, Reiji Mukudori, is finally able to buy a copy of the game and start playing. With some help from his experienced older brother, Shu, and his partner Embryo, Reiji embarks on an adventure into the world of Infinite Dendrogram. Just what will he discover and encounter in this game world known for its incredible realism and infinite possibilities?

The trouble with full-on MMO's is that there's always some overpowered nutcases who can show up and wreck things. It seems like Infinite Dendrogram is no different, with a set of four in the Kingdom of Altar alone! Having previously been PK'ed out of the game, Ray continues his quest to level up and press ahead, But in the background, political maneuverings cause the game's top players to make their presence known.

Who needs peace and quiet when you have games to play? Ray's climb towards becoming a super paladin continues, but it's never as easy as anyone hopes. Ultimate Boss Monsters, cursed costume pieces, and positively mad penguin are just some of the grinds in his way ⁠— and that's not even including the dread specter of gacha mechanics. Can Ray keep his in-game life ⁠— and dignity ⁠— intact, or is he just another cog in the machine of Infinite Dendrogram?

While walking the streets of Gideon, Ray encounters a band of hoodlums harassing a young woman. During the conflict he meets a flamboyant new ally named Hugo, and the two decide to co-operate in order to take down a nefarious criminal group known as the Gouz-Maise gang. But little did Ray know that this seemingly simple rescue mission would cement just how gruesome a reality the world of Infinite Dendrogram could become.

You know how it is: show up, destroy a band of necromancers, defeat the boss, and go home to blow your winnings at the gacha spinner. Too bad Ray never has it so easy, and this time, the boss left behind a trap turning the local bandits into a gigantic, gruesome, grudge-powered gross-out monster - with his own soul at the center. Can Ray figure out how to take it out on his own? And wait, why's there a flashback?! Watch out for that truck!

Ray might be on his way to defeating the Gous-Maiz gang, but there's never another crisis far away... or the promise of gladitorial combat. Remember: Just because it's not real, that doesn't meant it won't hurt!

Both of these Masters wield powerful Superior Embryos, and both intend to give their all to fight, make merry and emerge victorious! Just who will be left standing by the end of their ferocious encounter?

As the clash of the superiors draws to a close, a terror looms over the city of Gideon. Mr. Franklin, the Giga Professor from the Dryfe Imperium, makes his terrifying debut! Both admirably cunning and incorrigibly heinous, the sadistic scientist sets his sights on throwing the city into utter chaos. But as luck would have it, Ray, Marie, and Rook have a front row seat to his psychotic show, and they're not about to go down without a fight! Though outmatched, outnumbered and outsmarted, the knights and Masters of The Kingdom of Altar swiftly move to retaliate. They have the spirit, no doubt, but will it be enough to defeat the mastermind?

The City of Duels remains under siege, and Gideon's peace has been shattered by the malicious machinations of Giga Professor Franklin! As Ray and Rook draw ever closer to a fateful showdown with a former friend, Marie moves in hot pursuit of the dastardly fiend, only to be stopped in her tracks by Veldorbell, the King of Orchestras. Pushed to the brink, she has no choice but to play her full hand and reveal her biggest trump card... But what kind of catastrophic consequences will this artistic clash have for the city at large?
