Mukouda Tsuyoshi was nothing special in modern Japan, so when he was summoned to a world of swordplay and sorcery, he thought he was ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Too bad the kingdom that summoned him only got him by mistake! Not only was he not one of the three summoned heroes, but his stats were laughable compared to theirs. On top of that, there's something really sketchy about this kingdom... It's useless for combat, but if he plays his cards right, he could lead a comfortable life, maybe? At least, that's what Mukouda thinks, but it turns out modern food bought with this skill has some absurd effects! What happens when Mukouda introduces ridiculously tasty modern cooking to a fantasy world like this? He gets some ridiculous repeat customers begging for more...!

Mukouda Tsuyoshi – alias, ‘Mukohda’ – was an ordinary Japanese salaryman until he was summoned to a fantasy world of swords and magic. Mukohda’s unique skill made him the only person in this world with access to modern Japanese products, but the real reason he caught the attention of the legendary magic beast, Fenrir, was his ability to cook delicious food! Now with a ludicrously overpowered Fenrir and a baby slime in tow, Mukohda and friends continue their laid-back journey in search of easy-living in a new kingdom. In spite of his best efforts, it seems Mukohda can’t help but get wrapped up in the adventurer lifestyle. Will this reluctant “hero” win fame, fortune, and fair maidens while he tries to fly under the radar? With food this good, he’s bound to make new friends whether he likes it or not — much to the dismay of his number 1 fan, Ninrir, the goddess with a sweet tooth. Unfortunately for her, she isn’t the only denizen of the divine realm to take notice of Mukohda’s access to otherworld goods and sweets, and the other goddesses might have demands of their own!

*Even though I don’t want to go to the dungeon!* Caught up in a “Hero Summoning,” the hapless Mukohda was brought to another world from modern Japan, but he decided to make the most of it and enjoy a leisurely life of travel with his familiars, Fel and Sui. With new goddesses forcing blessings on him in exchange for offerings, and another familiar in the form of a peckish pixie dragon, Mukohda steadily amasses wealth and power. Finally, the cowardly hero (with a little “help” from his friends) has reached the city of Dolan, where he will challenge the city’s dungeon, whether he wants to or not! But the challenges start before he sets foot inside the dungeon, such as getting accosted by a disappointment of a guildmaster, extorted for booze by some rather intense male gods, and splurging on an actual kitchen stove. For Mukohda, diligent preparation for dungeon diving begins with preparing enough meals to satisfy his voracious companions. Thus armed to battle his familiar’s hunger, Mukohda’s party sets its sights on glorious battle in the dungeon. With ridiculous skills and overpowered magic beasts on his side, does the dungeon even stand a chance……?!

A new power - the tenant “???” opens shop! Mukohda, the salaryman from modern Japan who was (accidentally) whisked away to another world via a “Hero Summoning” ritual, finally arrived at the dungeon city of Dolan. Pressured into challenging the dungeon by his familiars, the cowardly Mukohda survives waves of terrifying monsters, and thanks to his familiars' overwhelming might, they became the first party to conquer the dungeon! While the Adventurers and Merchants guilds fuss over the unexpected champions and the spoils of their victories, Mukohda, who managed to level up in the dungeon, is more astonished to find that his unique “Online Supermarket” skill has unexpectedly evolved. Now that a new power has been unlocked, amazingly, Mukohda is now able to buy cakes and ice cream directly through his new “Tenant!” Things are looking up for his familiars and the goddesses Ninrir and Rusalka, who are overjoyed at the new variety of sweets available to them. However, it seems that some gods may be conspiring to force Mukohda to keep leveling in order to unlock even more “Tenants” to satisfy their craving for otherworld goods...

A new dungeon, and a new meeting!? Mukohda, the salaryman who was brought from modern Japan to another world because he was caught in a “Hero Summoning,” along with his familiars Fel, Sui, and Dora-chan, enjoyed their fill of seafood at the seaside town of Berléand. Finally, they set off for the dungeon city of Aveling, just as he promised Fel! But before that, Mukohda asks for information about the dungeon from the gods… and hearing that many undead wander the dungeon, Mukohda starts to get cold feet again. To get Mukohda into the dungeon, the gods come up with a spectacular gift. (All for a new Tenant in Mukohda’s Online Supermarket...) Reaching Aveling, Mukohda’s party attempts to enter the dungeon with a veritable mountain of prepared food. However, a certain off-putting elf awaits Dora-chan! And even further into the dungeon, another wonderful meeting awaits our hero…...!? The super-popular, absurd, otherworld adventure continues in the 6th volume!

With another dungeon behind them, Mukohda and party (and Elrand for some reason) take a well deserved rest to collect themselves before hitting the road again. And now, with many more levels, Mukohda has earned another new Tenant. But Mukohda doesn’t have time to sit back and enjoy it, nor to nurse his freshly wounded heart - they’re on the clock to ditch Elrand back in Dolan! Meanwhile, in the divine realm, the gods who have been mooching off Mukohda all this time may have met their match! And will Mukohda finally find something worthwhile to spend all of his money on...?

After conquering dungeons and finally getting some leverage over the gods ganging up on him, Mukohda sets his sights on the domestic life. With his new palatial manor fully staffed with trustworthy servants and guards, it seems like as good a time as any to focus on building up his long-neglected business of selling Japanese goods in this otherworld. But he’s suddenly found himself in the sights of an unscrupulous competitor, backed by a shady lesser noble, who is after the secrets of his luxurious soaps and hair treatments. Without relying on the brute strength of his overpowered familiars, Mukohda’s going to have to fight fire with fire and play politics himself. But in order to prove himself, he’ll need to provide something truly valuable to grease the wheels with Earl Langridge. What happens when otherworld magic and the marvels of modern product engineering collide...?

When we last left Mukohda, an unfortunate salaryman who got accidentally summoned to another world from modern Japan, he had bought a house in Karelina and staffed it. Now, having finally put his house in order and having secured the safety of his business, Mukohda has found himself free enough to leave his home while he goes out adventuring! So, Mukohda and familiars are now in the town of Rosenthal in pursuit of meat, meat, more meat, and some violence for Fel and the others to let off a little steam. But what awaits Mukohda in the dungeon so famed for its meat drops it’s literally called the “meat dungeon”? Some new ingredients for a new type of cuisine? A new time-limited business venture? Maybe even a fateful meeting that may lead to an apprenticeship...?!

Guided by the God of All Creation himself, Mukohda and his familiars have found their way into the treasure-filled lair of a long-dead bandit king. Stashed away among the piles of ill-begotten lucre is an item that catches Mukohda's attention: a magical tablet containing the autobiography of an ancient Sage, written in Japanese, of all things! What secrets could this mysterious book have to teach the other world's most cowardly chef? Who was the Sage, and how did he know Mukohda's native tongue? Will Mukohda manage to stay at home for more than a day before Fel and the others drag him off to another dungeon? And perhaps most importantly of all: What on earth is he supposed to do with the preposterous mountain of money that's been amassing in his Item Box all this time? Adventure awaits, whether Mukohda likes it or not!

At long last, the time has come. Mukohda and his party of ever-ravenous familiars are finally ready to set foot in the Brixt dungeon, a notorious hellhole famed for being the hardest dungeon in the land! The God of All Creation himself warned our hero of the unspeakable horrors waiting below that even his overpowered allies couldn’t take lightly. Much to Mukohda's chagrin, this warning was no deterrent at all. The Brixt dungeon may be full of dangerous monsters, devious traps, and glory-hungry adventurers who’d sooner see an upstart like Mukohda six feet under than split a share of their loot with him, but it also promises piles of treasure, oodles of rare ingredients, and EXP in abundance! And speaking of EXP, it’s only a matter of time before Mukohda unlocks his third Supermarket Tenant that the gods have been pestering him about for so long...

Another day, another dungeon! Or rather, another day, the same dungeon, because even though Mukohda would much rather make the most of his mid-dungeon break by lingering on the surface and enjoying a breath or two of outside air, a certain trio of battle-happy gluttons have dragged him right back into the depths again! Fel, Sui, and Dora won’t be satisfied until they conquer every last floor that the Brixt dungeon has to offer, and the most Mukohda can do is grit his teeth and tag along for the ride. But hey, it’s not that bad—after all, if the first forty floors were simple enough for Team Familiar to steamroll through, then surely the next who-knows-how-many won’t pose any dangers or inconveniences either, right? And it’s not like there are any horrible primeval monsters lurking somewhere down there that everyone—except for Mukohda—has forgotten the gods specifically warned them about, right?!

The long, dangerous dungeon crawl is over, and Mukohda and his familiars are finally homeward bound! After what felt like ages underground, Mukohda’s long overdue for some R&R back in Karelina, and this time he isn’t going to let anyone stand in between him and a golden chance to lounge about and not spend every hour of every day fearing for his life. Nothing could convince him to throw himself back into trouble. Nothing! Unfortunately for Mukohda, it’s only a matter of time before his decisions catch up with him and trouble comes calling whether he likes it or not. You can’t fly across several countries on an ancient dragon without turning a few heads, after all, and this time around, “trouble” has pointy ears, a terrible work ethic, and a pathological obsession with dragonkind even more intense than Mukohda’s desire to not get involved with any of this nonsense. What shenanigans will Mukohda’s self-proclaimed best friend in the whole wide world drag him into this time?

Enough is enough! The Church of Rubanov has violated Mukohda’s privacy one time too many—on top of their habit of trafficking their own people and subjugating the non-human races—and Demiurge, the God of All Creation, has finally decided that something must be done about them. What, specifically? Why, sending Mukohda and his familiars over to ruin their day in the most explosive manner possible, of course! Bringing down a dictatorial, human-supremacist theocracy isn’t the only item on Mukohda’s itinerary, though. He also has shopping to do, and conveniently enough, the one town where he stands any chance of replacing his irreparably damaged magic stove happens to be just a short hop away from the Holy Kingdom of Rubanov’s capital. However, that may not be the last stop on their trip if his familiars have anything to say about it...

Everything seems to be going so well for Mukohda in the wake of the Church of Rubanov incident. Not only has he managed to buy the magic stove of his dreams, he’s also stumbled into a surprise reunion with some old friends: the adventuring party Ark! The only thing that could possibly ruin the trip would be if, say, Fel revealed the location of a nearby, almost-untouched dungeon, and the members of Ark decided that they wanted to come along for the ride. But there’s no way that could happen, right? Oh. Oh no. And just like that, Mukohda’s off on another dungeon-crawling adventure that he’d really rather have no part in! Worse still, the thing about unexplored dungeons is that you never know what you'll find in them...and the discoveries awaiting the party in this one will blow any ideas they had about what a dungeon is supposed to be clear out of the water!
