Mukouda Tsuyoshi was nothing special in modern Japan, so when he was summoned to a world of swordplay and sorcery, he thought he was ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Too bad the kingdom that summoned him only got him by mistake! Not only was he not one of the three summoned heroes, but his stats were laughable compared to theirs. On top of that, there's something really sketchy about this kingdom... "Ah, these people are the kind to try and use the Hero," he realized, and immediately left to make his own way in this other world. The only thing Mukouda can rely on is his unique skill: the "Online Supermarket," a skill that allows him to buy modern goods in a fantasy world. It's useless for combat, but if he plays his cards right, he could lead a comfortable life, maybe? At least, that's what Mukouda thinks, but it turns out modern food bought with this skill has some absurd effects! What happens when Mukouda introduces ridiculously tasty modern cooking to a fantasy world like this? He gets some ridiculous repeat customers begging for more...!

Having decided to flee from the kingdom that brought him to this otherworld, Mukohda and Fel continue their journey. Along the way, Mukohda quickly learns the ropes of having a familiar, and all the trouble that can entail.
Goddesses, Griffins, and Slimes! Oh My! When Mukohda and Fel enter Boss-Monster territory, the risks begin to skyrocket: but so are the rewards: Who knew all it took to get a Goddess's blessing was a few sweets? Or how quickly a cute little slime can evolve? But when the crew get involved in Boss Monster politics, it still might end badly. Remember: You can only make more Campfire Cooking if you're still alive!
The trouble with having the strongest Familiar in all the lands is that word spreads pretty quickly about who you are and what you're up to. For our heroes, this means having to run all sorts of annoying quests to keep the guilds happy while managing not to provide ludicrously overkill results!
Mukohda’s latest adventure has given him a major windfall. But with more money comes more...goddesses, each vying for a slice of his supermarket pie in exchange for their blessings. What’s a man to do when he’s suddenly drowning in wealth and power? Start a business? Go on more adventures (or have adventure come to him)? How about looking into the one luxury he might value almost as much as good food?
When we last left Mukohda and the gang, the town of Karelina was in danger of being attacked by a horde of wyverns, so naturally Fel volunteered them to solve this mess (for delicious meat, of course)! On the more peaceful side of events, one of the things Mukohda misses the most about his life in Japan is the bath culture. Will he ever get the chance to enjoy a proper bath in a tub again? And where will their journey take them to next?
The first stop on Mukohda’s journey out of Karelina with his familiars is Krehl! When checking in at the Adventurer’s guild, they’re asked to scope out a creepy forest filled with spiders and unknown danger, but maybe there’s something else lurking in there for them as well? And as usual, a new town means new specialties to shop for! Then it’s off to Dolan, the dungeon city, to meet the dragon-obsessed guildmaster and get a bit of exercise.
When we last left Mukohda and the gang, a pair of gods had just barged into Mukohda’s life, prepared to solve his troubles! It’s safe to say that they want something from him, but what is it, and what will they give in return? On the more mundane side of things, the earth dragon still lies unbutchered, something which has to happen as soon as possible in order to keep Fel from going catatonic, but how good can dragon really taste? Then, the final thing Mukohda and party wanted to do in Dolan was visit its famous dungeon, but what areas, vistas, and enemies await them? What treasures will they find, and how easy will it be for Mukohda to make his fortune inside? All this and more in volume 8!
Mukohda is finally able to leave the dungeon! But it’s out of the frying pan and into the fire, as now he’s stuck dealing with his rewards for reaching the bottom, reporting back about the dungeon, appraising and selling loot, and generally getting more attention than he ever wanted. This feeling is only compounded by another effect of clearing the dungeon: his own personal growth. A mysterious new expansion to his skill has the gods and goddesses up above more enthusiastic about mooching off of him than ever. It might be a stroke of luck, therefore, that a certain furry familiar of his is just about fed up with cramped city life. Could it finally be time to move on from Karelina and head to the ocean like they had long been planning? Maybe, but you can be sure there’ll be complications along the way for Mukohda and friends!
Mukohda and co have arrived at their destination, the seaside town of Berléand, totally ready to enjoy the bounty of the sea! Unfortunately, that won’t be possible until they take care of one teeny, tiny little problem first: a kraken has been terrorizing the town by occupying its main fishing spot, ruining the local economy and emptying the market that used to be the town’s big attraction. So, it’s Mukohda and friends to the rescue! Once they deal with the kraken, they can reap the rewards of the associated guild quest and enjoy as much seafood as they like! But things never go that smoothly for our hapless ex-office worker. With all but one of his familiars landlocked, how will they solve the town’s predicament? Will the fight even go well? And assuming it does, what delicious dishes can we (and the familiars) look forward to?
