Target: 500 Frames Per Month. Miyuki may have scraped through the first round of animator training at N2, but having an artist's eye is useless if she can't hit her deadlines! If increasing pressure to level up wasn't enough to bring a girl down, the alcohol and unpleasant truths start flowing in equal measure on the company retreat. Can Miyuki get over her initial hump and find a place with the best animation has to offer - or will she find herself shunned within the studio?
It's never enough... Even on vacation, Miyuki can't escape the stigma of the animator's life. At the same time, Maria has issues and complexes of her own to deal with and even Fujiko's getting weighed down by her career. However, it may all be for nothing if N2 goes bankrupt...
Crisis in Motion! As New Year's Day approaches, it's all hands on deck at N2 to get final production out the door. There's just one problem: the production committee financing the studio's new movie keeps trying to interfere creatively. Will crowdfunding save the day - or cause more problems than it solves? Things aren't going much better for Miyuki, as she scrambles to hit her 500 frame target in time for the key animation exam. Everybody's jobs are on the line, and a certain interloping visitor isn't making things any better...
Miyuki Sanada has been working as an inbetweener at the famed anime studio, N2, for a year now and finally made it to the key animation exam. But despite all the hard work and the insultingly poor pay, she doesn't make the cut. Just as her dream feels further out of reach than ever, her hero appears and makes her an offer she can't refuse... Or can she?
