From an early age, Kiara has been plagued with dreams of another world—dreams in which a girl she doesn't recognize plays a strategy RPG called “Farzia: Kingdom at War.” Farzia is, in fact, the same kingdom where Kiara currently lives. Oh, and one other thing: there's an enemy character who's also named Kiara, though her name is Kiara Credias. Naturally, as with any other RPG villain, this enemy is slain by the heroes. So when her adoptive father, Count Patriciél, orders her to marry Viscount Credias, Kiara comes to a horrifying realization: perhaps those “dreams” were visions of things to come! She hatches a plan to get the hell out of Dodge and create a new future for herself—one where she STAYS ALIVE, thank you very much!

Kiara and her companions have set out on their quest to take back the kingdom of Farzia from the invading Llewynian forces. The clock is ticking as they race to stop Llewyne’s march on the royal capital, recapturing the various castles and forts along the way. It’s up to Kiara to use her newfound skills as spellcaster to turn the tide of the war, save Prince Reginald from an untimely death... and be careful not to take a toll on her body while she’s at it.
Up-and-coming spellcaster Kiara continues her quest to stop Llewyne’s invasion and save Prince Reginald from his ever-looming death. The pressure is greater than ever with the news that the king has been killed, but the forces of Farzia persist in pushing Llewyne back. Things are looking up with the recapture of Fort Inion—except Kiara has run into two problems. One: right in the heat of battle, she hits an unforeseen hitch in casting her magic. Two: back at the fort, the enemy spellcaster Ada has infiltrated Farzian ranks, and her determination to woo the prince might be stirring up a little bit of jealousy in our protagonist.
After a long journey across Farzia, Kiara and friends have made it all the way to the province of Trisphede, where both the enemy nation Llewyne and their ally Salekhard have assembled their troops. But as luck would have it, they find themselves face-to-face with Kiara’s former groom-to-be and Achilles’ heel, the viscount of Credias! When she and Cain find themselves in a tight spot as they fight for their lives, Kiara comes up with a last-ditch plan: handing herself over to Isaac in exchange for her bodyguard’s safety. Will Reggie be able to save her from the king’s clutches before she’s forced to turn on her allies?
Now that Reggie’s feelings are out in the open, romance is in the air as Kiara navigates uncharted territory in her relationship with the prince. Meanwhile, the Farzian army’s long campaign finally nears its end as our heroes close in on the royal capital. What does Queen Marianne have in store for them at the end of their journey? And what is the true identity of Kiara and Reggie’s mysterious benefactor, the Thorn Princess? All is revealed in the story’s thrilling climax!
